Michael Bublé – “Crazy Love” Tour
Sydney - Acer Arena

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ENGAGEMENT RING!

It glistened brighter than his pearly whites however ‘that ring’ still didn’t deter women from gushing all over ‘MB’. On a day for lovers, Valentine’s Day, Acer Arena was suitably adorned with its 21 000 red chairs all filled with bottoms, females & males, both young & old.

The 3 years since he last charmed our shores of Sydney has certainly only done Mr Buble justice, with his voice even sexier than before, his charm even wittier & his looks, well I’m not one to comment….I’m a happily married women after all!

Michael certainly has a way with words & when he’s not entrancing the audience with his music, he’s doing it with his quirky comments & cute boyish like manner, that had us all in fits of laughter & moments later struggling to hold back the tears.

If it wasn’t for the 20 999 other bodies in the room one would have sworn Michael was just entertaining them alone with his soft, sultry harmonies & his casual, convivial conversations that captivated the entire audience where tears were evident in the eyes of even typically Aussie men & yes  noticeable in ‘The Boobs’ eyes as well!...

The concert started literally with a bang & went from strength to strength with spectacular lighting, crisply illuminated screens (ensuring we never missed not even a bead of sweat dripping from MB’s sweet Canadian face) & songs that you were REALLY encouraged to sing along to.

Along with 3 of my craziest Michael Buble loving friends, we were perched in row 16 on the floor, typically great seats until the loving, young couple right in front decided to stand up & show their PDA (that stands for Public Display of Affection for those of you not quite as hip & groovy as me!) for the entire arena to see! Clearly annoyed I grabbed my friends & together we strutted like VIP’s towards the front of the stage where we managed to secure the hottest spots in the entire arena.

And, there he was. Right there! There’s certainly nothing ‘superstar’ about this bloke. MB thrived on having his fans just there for him to see…real people, real faces, real fans…you could see the overawed look in his eyes as he ran past us all touching our hands as a sign, as if he was thanking each & every one of us personally. And even if you weren’t one of the lucky ones to have a seat on the floor, it really didn’t matter at all. His charm & magic filtered through the entire place creating an atmosphere that lifted people’s worries & carried them away to faraway places, even if only for a few hours.

As the 2 hours came to a close & just when you thought your knees couldn’t get any weaker, Michael returned to do his encore where he ushered the audience to quieten down as if he were a parent calming his babies…Microphone free, there he sang humble & honest to a crowd so quiet, you could hear your own heart beat. Bursting into applause (& tears!) it was evident that we all loved him & that he had conquered what he came to do…ENTERTAIN US.

Hypnotised by Mr Buble, I simply couldn’t let the night pass me by without buying a tiny piece of MB memorabilia….tiny being the operative word. Cute, little hot pants with MB posted right on my @@@….which I’ve told my husband stands for ‘my bottom’….not Michael Buble! Ssshhh.

Until next time Michael when we all sway, it’s only ever a huge G’day from your mates from Down Under…that land far away.
