Fact #2 as told by the makers of Christmas, including David Foster and Jochem van der saag: Michael flew Mitch - his beloved grandfather who is very knowledgeable about music and has been a great inspiration to Michael from the start of his career - down from Canada to sit in the middle of the 'Capitol Studio A' while he was recording big band on various songs for this album; in his eighties, Mitch was beaming like a ten year old on Christmas morning! Only to fall asleep on the couch ten minutes later.

Fact #1 by Christmas producer David Foster: "While rehearsing at my house and we did a demo with Michael and he sang into a hundred dollar microphone. That vocal ended up on the album, because we could never beat the feeling at that moment. Of course, I’m not going to tell you which song it is. ;)"
