Michael has been nominated for a People's Choice Award. The 33rd Annual Awards Show airs live from Los Angeles on January 9th at 9pm/8pm central on CBS.
Fans can vote daily online in categories of Music, Movies and Television. Michael was selected in the category of NEW Favorite Remake for "Save the Last Dance for Me". Other nominees are Alanis Morissette and Rascal Flatts. Nominees were compiled through a leading market research company and top 3 selections in each category became final nominees. 75th Anniversary Gala Concert
On November 11th, David Foster hosted a gala celebration concert for the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska. Michael along with famous soul singer Gladys Knight, joined David to celebrate the Museum's 75th Anniversary of achievement and inspiration.
Michael performs at David Foster & Friends Gala DinnerLast weekend, Michael appeared at the David Foster Charity Gala in Niagara Falls Ontario. The fundraiser took place November 25th at the Fallsview Casino on Saturday evening.
It was a soiree that featured international superstar Andrea Bocelli, crooner Michael Buble, artist-producer Babyface and the legendary Paul Anka, and raised more than $3 million for the David Foster Foundation.
The foundation helps pay non-medical expenses for families of children who need organ transplants. Foster says the show will help him expand the charity across Canada.
Home Receives SOCAN AWARD
Michael was honored last week with a songwriting award for Home' at the 17th Annual Canadian SOCAN Awards Gala held November 22nd in Toronto. Avril Lavigne, Nickelback, Jann Arden and Daniel Powter were also among those honored. All received pop music awards.SOCAN - the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada - is the Canadian copyright collective for the communication and performance of musical works.
